The Diet Song

Blizzards, hot dogs and milk shakes
I’m told these are food mistakes
Quinoa and kale are good?
Why don’t I just eat some wood?
Burgers, beer and Texas ribs
For leftovers I call dibs
Pizza, nachos chocolate mousse
Chicken, turkey and a goose
(Chorus)
Dieting is hard to do
It’s no fun for me or you
I wonder why I try at all
Does this include my alcohol?
Focus on the portion size
Can I still eat chili fries?
Will power is getting weak
I only started this last week?
Ice cream cakes they make me glad
No lasagna gets me mad
Dagwood subs and wings go fine
I’ll give them up some other time
Don’t you touch my special treats
Chips and candy can’t be beat
Road trips call for beef jerky
Chinese food and bubble tea
(Chorus)
Dieting is hard to do
It’s no fun for me or you
I wonder why I try at all
Does this include my alcohol?
Focus on the portion size
Can I still eat chili fries?
Will power is getting weak
I only started this last week?
After giving lots of thought
And looking at the food I’ve bought
It’s time for me to make a change
I know this must sound very strange
Atkins, Simmons, Jenny Craig
All the lives that they have saved
I chose to do this all alone
And now I’m only skin and bones!
(Chorus)
Dieting is hard to do
It’s no fun for me or you
I wonder why I try at all
Does this include my alcohol?
Focus on the portion size
Can I still eat chili fries?
Will power is getting weak
I only started this last week?
